  2. Vikings, the Dallas Cowboys had the ball
  3. inside their own 1-yard line. The coaches
  4. called for a straight-ahead run by Ron
  5. Springs, the Cowboy fullback. But Ron
  6. thought they had called a different play and
  7. went to the sideline, leaving the Cowboys
  8. with only 10 players on the field! When the
  9. ball was snapped, Tony Dorsett alertly took
  10. the handoff instead. Tony got a good block
  11. from a teammate as he raced downfield,
  12. and he stiff-armed the last would-be
  13. tackler before heading into the end zone
  14. for the score. TonyΓÇÖs 99-yard touchdown
  15. run is the longest run from scrimmage in
  16. NFL history! And, it happened on a botched
  17. play.
